Well, I hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year. I think that mine wasn't too bad, despite the OJ bondage. Made some money and new friends, so I suppose it wasn't that bad. Over all I think this year has had the most impact on me out of all the others I've had to gruel through. Eragon, the book, was okay. I didn't think it was as boring or horrible as everyone else on this lj did. However, I thought it was a major rip off of Star Wars meets The Lord of the Rings. Whatever. I read it in two days because it is my son's favourite book, and he wanted to see the movie.
Which brings me to the movie, Eragon. Special effects aside, it was the worst movie I've seen - possibly EVER. The acting was atrocious, the directing an abomination, the mangled story line a horror show, and the criticisms go on and on. My 10 yo son, who has never given any movie a negative review said this when I asked him what he thought of the movie, "Maybe the director will actually read the book before he makes the second movie." Yeah, it sucked, dude. Save your hard, cold cash for something more useful and fulfilling - like a new pair or shoes or that sexy skirt... Oops!
