Bah. This is turning out to be such an awful month. Well, not awful, cause I am sure it could get a lot worse if it wanted to, but it hasn't been fun. Around Thanksgiving the Boyfriend couldn't take the long distance thing anymore (and told me just before Midterms), and has since become the Ex. He will be known as the Ex until such a time as I feel I can call him Squed (Square and Red). We're still talking but it's getting more and more awkward so I don't know what is going to happen now. Oh well. It's probably for the best anyways, since it turns out I have a lot to sort out for myself before I can truly commit myself to someone. Because of this I have been trying to experience as many new things as possible and meet people. I went to a fund raiser a few weeks back, and this friday I went to my first Toga Party and Pubcrawl (Put on by the wonderful
ninjapam and her gang in the PSUA) and had a blast. Well, how could I not when it was called "Full Throttle with Aristotle". Lol. Anyhoo, I'm doing ok. I just need to get my bearings back and to recover from the constant state of fatigue I have gotten myself into since the beginning of summer. Blah.
But here, let's get on with the art, now shall we? It's all you want to see anyways... ;p
Laundry Day - A Draco/Ginny pic. Thank you muchly to
sarea_okelani and
elle_blessing for the CDs a few months ago. I will send you your prints of this pic as soon as my midterms are over and done with...
And of course, I have still been going to my figure drawing classes, so here are some naked people for all who care to look:
Tiny Q's Scraps - They are the first 4 images. They were all fun to draw, and if you read the comments you can find out why...
And finally, the Doodlies of the past few weeks...
This oober bendy girl makes no physical sense, but she's kind of fun. If you turn her around she looks like she is falling. I might have to make a better version of this one day...
I don't know why, but this month I keep bulking up women's waists so that they look more like my own. I know I have lost a lot of weight, but I also know that I don't have a super wasp waist. Stupid muscles. Anyhoo, this lady was the first of the trend. I think I was planning on dressing like this last year for Halloween...
And I have also been doodling a lot of heads, experimenting with different shapes ect. These are the girls. I think I like the lady with the square jaw. I'll have to make a character like that some day...
And these are the boy heads. I really like the elf type dude, as well as the one making the face in the top right corner. ;p
This odd sitting girl reminds me of one of
fukkafyla's old school Snape drawings. I don't know why, but it just does. Anyhoo, I wish I would have done a better job on her shoes...
And this was a drawing that I did all in pink before inking over the lines I liked with black. I really like this technique, so I might continue to do it while doodling. She's an elf warrior. I should do a good version of her some day... with colour...
And finally, we have Tiffany Aching, from The Wee Free Men, which I have been reading in bits before I go to sleep. Such a great book. I will do a good version once I have finished the book, and perhaps read the second one... ;p
So yes, that is all of that. The break up has made me realise that I need to base my happiness on my own accomplishments and not on simply being with a guy. With this in mind I started writing my first novel. It's a lot of drivel, but it's a start. As for
Painting of Oyster, I'm not sure when I am going to have the time to finish it, but it will be finished, some day...
