I just played 'happy birthday' on my ukulele. It's about friggin' time I really started learning to play this adorable motherfucker.
I mean sure. I have a syntax term paper draft that's overdue by a week, now, and a sociolinguistics assignment that's so far overdue I'm not telling you how much, a phonology assignment due Thursday, hours backlogged in transcription, and... well, I won't bore you with the details.
But playing the ukulele and going to this event tonight are far higher on my list of priorities, at the moment.
