(no subject)
Led my first meeting as president tonight! Went pretty good, I feel, even though I'm freaking out about this semester ... there are so many things that I and everyone in the chapter wants to get done, but I'm not sure if we'll the time and/or resources (aka money) to do it all! And I'm horrible at saying no, sometimes ... hopefully Steph can pick up my slack on that front.
Had an absolutely fabulous time in Galapagos, even if I did lose my camera and even if I did get positively homesick towards the end of it ... our guide is married to Thalia Grant, daughter of the famous Grants who have been doing research in the Islands since the 1980s and it was amazing how well all 16 of us (including the four from Macalester College) got along! The crew was fabulous, as well! I learned so, so much and will never, ever forget it. I just wish that I could have stayed there forever ... with my parents and friends, though.
I start my semester early tomorrow morning, with work at 8 and my first class at 10. Should be an interesting day!
