Prompting guidelines

• Anyone is allowed to leave an original prompt, meaning it cannot be posted anywhere else and it cannot be a part of a previously written AU or series.
• All prompts must have their own post! If you want to post multiple prompts (you’re welcome to do it!) then please make a post for each.

The DOs and DON’Ts of prompting:

• DOs: A not very specific prompt that involves both Xiumin and Kai in the spotlight.
• DON’Ts: Anything that involves pedophilia and/or non/dubcon. Try to stay away from heteronormativity (but that’s at the disposition of the writer,) offensive themes (racism/racist words will not be tolerated) and Wu Yifan* (also at the disposition of the writer.)

*The only reason is that mod has seen lots of people discouraged from reading from the mere presence of the former EXO member in a fic. So, please, take this into consideration. If you do not want Wu Yifan in your fic, please put it in your 'Don't's.

Your prompt will need to have the following information.

Example #1:

Prompt: College!AU where Minseok is a T.A that Jongin crushes on forever. They keep bumping into each other to Jongin’s bad luck until he realises that it might not be a complete coincidence if he takes what he heard from one of Minseok’s friends seriously.
Extra info: “I knew the second I met you that there was something about you I needed. Turns out it wasn’t something about you at all. It was just you.” Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire.
Additional side pairings (not mandatory): Chanyeol/D.O
Preferred rating (not mandatory): PG13 at most
Don’ts: Incest, daddy kink, dark themes, heteronormativity, overly shy!Jongin.

Example #2:

Prompt: Domestic!AU. Minseok has been meaning to ask Jongin about their future; weddings, kids, etc, but feels Jongin is too young. How can he tie down someone who has his whole life ahead?
Extra info: none.
Additional side pairings (not mandatory): Baekhyun/Chen
Preferred rating (not mandatory): NC17
Don’ts: minor!Jongin, heteronormativity, incest, crack.

The comments that don’t follow the guidelines and do not contain the information above will not be taken into consideration so please remember to fill this out correctly!

Make sure you aren’t too detailed in your prompt and for the love of god don’t add a minimum word count, writers will be mostly discouraged to pick your prompt if you are too picky. Make it so it’s appealing, not a job!

Also, any extra information that you add apart from what it’s asked will not go into the claiming doc, there are categories for a reason~

The prompting post will go up on Friday, July 14th at 00:00hrs CLT (KST -13, GMT -5) and you will have 7 full days to leave how many prompts you like.

Claiming guidelines

Anyone who wishes to participate in tiny hyung must pick their favorite prompts. Since you won’t be sure your claim will go through (someone might have claimed it right before you) you will send an email to tinyhyungmods@gmail.com with THREE to FOUR choices (in order of preference.) The prompts that are claimed will be taken out of the doc.

If the mod is not online when claiming emails come, it will be decided by the time of arrival on the email. If, for some unlucky reason, all your claims are taken, mod will let you know as soon as possible!

You will be able to start writing as soon as the mod confirms your pick.

The claiming post will go up on Friday, July 24th at 00:00 CLT (KST -13, GMT -5) and will be up for four full days (the closing day is subjected to change.)

Fic writing guidelines

You will need to write at least 1k (one thousand) words! This is the official community word count and any word count on any prompt should not be taken into consideration. There is no word count maximum (but, please, you’ll only have two months so take your average writing pace into consideration!)

There will be a single check in one month into the fest on August 27th and 28th, so that’s 48 hrs to send in whatever you have pinned down for the mod to see you’ve been working on your fic. There is no minimum word count for this (but please don’t send, like, 50 words.)

There is no drop out deadline so if you need to drop out just send an email to tinyhyungmods@gmail.com to let us know.
