Don't read if you've read on myspace (repost... in a sense)
So, I'll elaborate on my last post.
I had an lunch meeting with a professor from gspia on Tuesday. I was meeting with her to discuss a position for a grad student to work with the Pittsburgh Community Information System. In a nutshell, the public will be able to go to a website and look up mapping information about regions in pittsburgh... like building violations, condemnations, tax leins, vacant properties, etc.
I'll be in charge of technical assistance and cleaning the data that is dumped into the warehouse of information.
I'll be working 10 hours with that, and then 10 hours as a research assistant. I don't need to, and am unable to, work at PF Chang's anymore.
I'm going to sell my car. I don't need it. I just hope I can sell it... it might be rough. I'll work on that as soon as I get back from seeing my mom. I don't need the car since I'll be working down at school, which is a ten minute busride. I'd be paying over $500/month between car payment and insurance for the car to sit in the freakin parking lot. Unnecessary.
I'm so happy with my accomplishments this summer. I can finally see that my education is paying off... and i'm able to do things that i actually want to do... like not ask people how they want their freakin' special sauce. It feels great.
I got last year's syllabus for my Math Econ. class. It looks like I'll be doing some real analysis. So I had to buy three more books to help me get ready for this: Matrix Theory, Crash Course in Linear Algebra, and Introductory Real Analysis.
K.. That's it. I'm importing Led Zeppelin's entire collection of studio recordings to my iTunes.
