Billy Buckwheat! I should have realised when I saw the cap, but I didn't, and then I nearly choked on my drink. I laughed so hard.

Summer and Windsong? Awesome.

Murray thinking of the periodic table to distract himself from the twins' assets? Awesome. That he doesn't manage to stay distracted? Double awesome.

Nick and Cody's mind speak? So very awesome.

Cody and Murray having to drink herbal tea? Awesome. Nick was laughing at them on the inside and so was I.

Vietnam flashbacks? Cody wanting to comfort Nick? Awesome, awesome, awesome.

And the action sequence - awesome! (And you know, regardless of any life-threatening injuries, a wet Nick is always a good thing. *g*)

And this? 'I love you.' Nick mouthed the words against Cody's skin instead, the way he'd used to in the army. It had been a long time before he'd said those words out loud. Made of awesome.

In conclusion: awesome.

That was wonderful! As always, I love your characterizations of them, love the angst in this one, too, Nick's pain at having the sacrifices they - and so many others- made denigrated.

This is really a great story! (But then I would expect no less from you.)

I'm so impressed by the way you blend the three guys, their friendship, hot slash and actually give the reader something serious to think about too!

And I loved seeing the guys in their #1 With a Bullet "character within a character roles".
