Oh, this rocks. I love this slice of life--very fascinating and revealing for both characters.

I love how they really sound like men. I know I keep saying it, but seriously, it's a real camaraderie you've built between them. Wonderful!

Awww....Nick seeking out Cody to take care of him.....he knows Cody is hurting and he HAS to do something about it. Love it! Poor Cody, wondering if he'll be any use to Nick with the chopper........codycodycodycody you make my heart squishy. I also love his thoughts on Nick's blue eyes.

Also, I love your story. It's a beautiful, touching description, and a FANTASTIC way to work through all the painful moments in the series. Thank you so much for sharing it with me.

Also, after reading it, I want to point you to Steeper than it Looks one of my Riptide stories, which is somewhat slashy, I have to say, *but*, it's PG, and could be in fact describing a very deep friendship relationship such as the one you portray in your story. There are no sexual references :)
