I did Yuletide for the first time ever, and had a lovely time! I'll definitely be signing up in the future.
First of all, the beautiful Riptide fic I received,
Home Is Where The Christmas Is, is by
hardboiledbaby. Squee! Thank you, dearest!! As I have said before, I love it greatly. I'm not sure how many times I've read it so far, but it's many. And it's going to be many more.
As for what I wrote:
I wrote 3 full-length Yuletide fics in two fandoms; one of course my original assignment, one because why *wouldn't* I write Riptide when there were prompts, and one for a pinch-hit that I missed out on getting assigned, but the prompt was so mouthwatering I had to anyhow.
Two were Riptide:
Three Singles to Adventure for my assignee,
quoshara. Quo asked for a story that brought out the friendship between the three guys and how they were always there for each other.
(PG, pairing vague or gen, Adventure comes in many guises. Even Murray Bozinsky cannot recognize them all...)
Anchors Away A Christmas story of a sort :)
(PG, Gen, Sometimes Cody's confused about what he wants. But then his subconscious lays it out for him...)
The third was for a fandom so small, I never knew it was a fandom at all. I didn't even offer it for Yuletide because I just didn't realize! I happen to know the canon extremely well, and when I saw the pinch-hit come past, I lay in a small heap whimpering softly, because YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Anyway, alas the vagaries of Yuletide, I was too slow and missed out on the pinch-hit, but nothing loth, I went right ahead and wrote it anyhow.
For These Old Shades by Georgette Heyer.
'Twixt Blame and Blindness (NC17)
The prompt, you ask? Oh, the beautiful prompt. Oh my.
What if there never was a Leonie? What if Leon was Leon all along?
I also wrote 2 Madness treats, but I'll repost these here in a moment.
