I live! Really...
So I see that I haven't written anything in awhile.
Honestly there isn't much to say...have been learning all about computers and the various and sundry ways they make you want to rip your hair out by the roots. :)
In all seriousness...Have done nothing but deal with tehcnical difficulties for the past month. It's getting ridiculously frustrating and I'm getting super worried that with all these delays I won't be able to graduate at the end of April. :(
On the plus side...I got an NSERC award, which means that if I do graduate as planned, I'll actually have research-related work to do! and get PAID. What a novel thought. :)
hmm...what else has been going on? I went back to Bamfield for my first ever conference the weekend before last...it was SUPER awesome, and it was just plain old amazing to go back there. Really did wonders for my stress level (Thank God, cuz I think my brain would've melted by now otherwise).
Sadly the whole Bamfield trip got kicked off on a not-fantastic note as I was getting a cold when we left, and have been sick ever since. :( was WRETCHEDLY ill for a big portion of last week...got by on throat lozenges and the miracle that is sudafed cough and cold. seriously BEST cold meds ever invented. Am definately on the mend, but still get really bad coughing fits at night, which is obviously not so super.
Also got a new job...working at Big Al's Aquarium supplies. lol. Sounds rather ghetto I know, but it's actually pretty cool. I'm working with the fishies, which is cool, and the manager is super awesome, very understanding about school and whatnot.
But yeah....nothing particularly interesting going on...just oodles of stress. :( That said, lots of good stuff too. The NSERC was incredibly exciting, and the new job is going well, so really I can't complain.
