This has been making the rounds. It's a Youtube video of Oklahoma state representative Sally Kern expounding on the "homosexual lifestyle

But don't get romanced by Obama's siren song. Vote Clinton. Remember the '90's, when we had a smokin' economy, a budget surplus, a strong dollar, and the world respected us?
It's tough not to be when your parents are that way!
Then I realized that my parents don't do much fact-checking at all and thus have unjustified political opinions. And unjustified religious opinions. And...okay, I'll stop there.
You have to hand it to people like this: it takes an impressive amount of work to be so remarkably disconnected from reality on virtually every moral and factual issue (not to suggest that the two don't necessarily overlap occasionally).
Then again, it's horrifying that people who are, in fact, so remarkably disconnected from reality have any say in lawmaking. Or even in what to eat for dinner.
Stuff like this... I don't even know what to say. Even sadder is that there are people out there nodding about the gays (and no doubt Islam) and their apparently unseen yet massive efforts throughout Oklahoma schools to convert children via clubs.
The Bible tells you not to do all sorts of things. It also tells you to do all sorts of quite awful things. Most of which we ignore because we're not crazy and evil politicians from Oklahoma.
...there are quite a few comments that Ms. Kern had the right to say what she did because the bible says that homosexuality is wrong.
Nope. Ms. Kern had the right to say what she did because of a little something called freedom of expression. It allows everyone, even bigoted morons, to voice their opinions.
It also gives the rest of us the right to logically tear up every one of her arguments, as you so admirably did in the above post. I for one am very glad we (and bigoted morons) have freedom of expression. Because I think most people will hear hate-speak and know just what it is: the rantings of a bigoted moron.

Yes, people of course have every right to express hateful, bigoted opinions. We have the right to shred them.
