(no subject)
There are only 10 days left and i'm ridiculously excited. Both for the Oireachtas and for Harry potter, which I'm more excited for than I was for either Chamber of Secrets or Prisoner of Azkaban. It's so crazy and i'm so excited! But i'm sooo paranoid about getting sick because I was sick at the O last year and it was miserable. We have these team practices where ONE person is sick, but because we all hold hands so much in the dance, I always end up getting sick because we're there for like 4 hours with no break to wash your hands in. So Addie was sick on Sat. and now i'm feeling a little stuffy and so i'm FREAKING OUT!!!!
And I'm doing stamina and ab, quad, calf, ankle and general arm workouts so that my leaps will be stronger, and i'll stay up more, and we officially don't have a single day without some kind of dancing in it until the Oireachtas. Ten days of intense dance should serve me quite well!
So i really really miss being part of an active music world as well.. it all just seems so stationary right now, nothing is really going on. I keep thinking well maybe if I went to Camp Nirvana I'd feel as into it as I used to, but no, because all of the people that made that experience what it was have gone away! I'm really excited about the CD that my sisters and I are going to make, we're going to do a Christmas one first with our friend Catharine who plays the harp, then we're going to make a fiddle/gypsy one with Lucas and Tom, and then we're going to do an all-classical one (once Solana gets on a full-size violin) with special guest stars depending on the piece. It'll be cool to divide our repretoire up like that.
I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE SIGHT-READING PARTY!!! We definitely have to do SOUVENIR DE FLORENCE like ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!!! YAY!!!
