Cat loss victim mourns less: More news after the break...
SGA has the worst and the best charateristics of all fanfic fandoms, being fully developed and rolling onwards for years.. Major character transformed into a cat story. I have a horrid feeling I know the author under about three other names and email that writer regularly, but that's another thing for later.
I read this and blogged it at once. Back to the story. The writer obviously is aware deeply of the feline nature of the cat protaganist in one of the cutest trrropes of awll sci fi fandom, the sentient but transformed into defenceless cute idea. Since the first reading of Alice In Wonderland when I was 8 and the relationship I had with every casual cat since then, that moment when the other species responds and emotes to you can not be written any better than this.
Once he was alone, Rodney pulled the curtain and rolled his shoulders a few times. He shook out his hands and fingers and cautiously walked toward Sheppard’s last known location.
“Sheppard? It’s me.”
“Aowr,” said a tiny, sad voice.
