Well, the tooth thing is not too bad, but the gum is infected OW OW OW ,snow here has frozen into black ice and more snow expected tomorrow, my brain problem is manifesting istelf gradually as extra keystrokes I am commpletely unconsciuuos of, and a bass guitar with small amp costs about £180.
*huh?* where did this come from?
Well, two years ago I started ont buyting sweets and treats after school and the resultant money bought a cheap laptop and broadband for a whole year. This year's project was going to be a saxophone because a) wind instrument to help with fitness b) already can read music#c) want to be FUNKAAAAY and musical d)piano does not fit in the car. Cost is prohibative even if second hand. Jazz is possible but i love all sorts of music. Bass is useful for alll sorts of music too and always needed. Since about the age of two Ive been rhythmic and pretending to drum along. Now with crapper hearing but good pitch sense I've got to make the best of stuff and combine what I have. Bass does this amiably and with a rugged punch to the gut that iIcan sympathise with. You can nearly always guess the song from the bassline because it has both chord and rhythm in it.
My eight year old loves Emily Strange and this year's calendar has a bass playng month in it. Now if that's not a sign.... and in cas you think Ten year old will miss out she's pitch perfect like Mum and is able to follow chords so she'll gain also. Thee's a female bass player called Tad Wiltshire or some thing as inspiration for the look. I can do the hairstyle and jeans already, but will my boobs get in the way of the strap??
One of these is a professional bass player rockstar...
I'll let you know. :)
