[Lilly arrived this morning, unhappy to find her back here. After stomping around angrily about it in the snow, she already collected her stuff and settled unhappily into the Welcome Center after finding her old apartment absolutely unsuitable to return to live in. Not only that, but her old maid was gone. Where was she going to find a new one

[Rydia, having just returned from the draft, is bone-tired. She's not up to much for today, but checking the Welcome Center has become habit, and she just wants to see how things went in her absence. So, suddenly warping/poofing into existence over there.]

[tintobrat]

[Oh! A woman just appeared in the welcome center. Lilly should be surprised. She is, however, startled. Blink blink.]

Oh. I suppose you're in charge here.

[Well, Rydia's glad she didn't unnerve the girl too much. She just couldn't bring herself to walk across town. She nods, managing a smile.]

That's right. I'm Rydia of Mist. I take it the New Feather cycle started already?

[tintobrat]

It would seem so, but I'm hardly a 'New' Feather, I merely need a place to sleep before I make new arrangements for myself.

[eidolon_soul]

That's fine. Take what time you need to get settled.

[She tilts her head, looking her over.]

You do look a bit familiar, now that I think about it....

Oh? Perhaps we met before. I'm Lilly Pendragon. And you?

[Not that she quite recognizes Rydia, but her memory is a bit hazy.]

Rydia. I run this place, now that Martel has been sent home.

Hm...Lilly? I think I remember that name, though that must have been quite a while ago.

[tintobrat]

My own memories of Luceti have been... hazy.

[Even the name Martel only vaguely means anything to her.]

The fact that you have them at all is promising, though. Maybe you just need some time for them to clear up.

[tintobrat]

I can only hope. I've only been gone a mere two weeks.

Well, having a bunch of familiar faces around here ought to help that. I'm sure you'll get it sorted out in no time.

Indeed. In any case, I will be making use of the Welcome Center until I secure arrangements more suitable. I trust you won't mind the intrusion.

[She's quick to shake her head.]

No, not at all. We certainly have enough space, and that's what this place is for, isn't it?

[tintobrat]

Naturally. Now, when should I expect meals?

[She never actually stayed in the Welcome Center during her first time in Luceti. She spent a few weeks in the clinic due to being attacked by Yuber on her first day. So she's thinking of it like an inn.]

[Rydia shrugs. She's met people who expected the place to be like an inn, but...that's just not the way she does things.]

Well, there usually isn't a standard time for that but we almost always have something available. I tend to arrive with fresh bakery goods early in the morning, and other helpers use the kitchen for mid-day and evening fare. We tend to do regular shopping just to keep the place well-stocked; especially in winter, it counts.

I suppose that will do. I can hardly complain, considering circumstances.

[Actually she could and quite loudly. But she knows in this instance it won't do her any good.]
