HELLO everyone i am BACK from GB CAMP~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE MY HERALDS JUNIORS. 8D
anw. because i am lazy and have shortterm memory, i shall put what i remember, in other words Amazing Race and NIGHT SURPRISE 8D
So we set off from the Salvation Army and we were supposed to do seven compulsory stations and four optional stations, and come back by 4.15 pm (we started at like, 11). You can go to the stations in any order you like, seeing as which is the fastest route lah. So seeing as me and Renci were the only ones who knew the Bukit Timah area, it was up to us... but here are our locations anw!
COMPULSORY:
1) Bukit Timah Nature Reserve (Visitor's Centre)
2) Bukit Timah Food Market
3) Bukit Panjang LRT Station
4) Bukit Gombak Stadium
5) Outside Coronation Plaza

We went to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve first, and we stalked the stationmasters! cos they were leaving around the same time as us and they had to move faster so they would get there before us. And we chased them! When we got off the bus, they started running. so we started running too! And we caught up with them x) so they gave up and started walking, which was a good thing because it was REALLY far inside. we didnt see alot of monkeys though. ><
The game itself was pretty boring though, just carrying a pingpong ball in a spoon. meh. >< climb up all the way for nothing.
Next, it was the Bus stop opposite Hwa Chong JC, which turned out to be Watten Park, where we were instructed by Yikai and Zoe to come up with a 2-minute aerobics workout and a group cheer.

So yes, i admit it, we probably looked like retards jumping about on one leg in Watten Park shouting LAME DUCK! LAME DUCK! but it was fun. xD
Stopped at Coronation Plaza for lunch, and the ONLY chicken rice restaurant was supercrowded with pple from GB, Nanyang, Hwa Chong and god knows where else. SHEESH. took us ages to order, and even longer to get served. so after that stumbled upon Grace Zhang by chance sitting on the bench enjoying the aircon (OY! I THOUGHT IT SAYS OUTSIDE CORONATION PLAZA NOT INSIDE!). Joy. Grace being in OM, of course we were forced to do an impromptu skit.
meh. walked to CCAB after that, and spent about fifteen minutes waiting for the grp before us to be done. i.e., we sit around on the track (but we got off after we realised that the track MELTS and STICKS to your SHOES.) and stone, and attempt to amuse Alicia and make her happy. short of the long, we entertained her so well that she gave us full marks for bonus points. xD
after that took a bus all the way to the food market, and ended up playing charades with these TEN lovely sentences!!!!!
1) Nicole had a big cookie
2) Michelle stole Nicole's cookie
3) Nicole was sad and jumped off a cliff
4) Samantha woke up when the sun rose
5) Samantha realised that she was a ladybird
6) Samantha decided to go scare Michelle
7) But Samantha was not a butterfly
8) So Michelle squished Samantha.
FINE so there are two more sentences, which i think was in the COOKIE saga, 'cept i can't remember. ah whatever.
ok then we took a bus (after frantic consultations of the bus route thingy pasted at the bus stop) to the Petir LRT station and then from there took the LRT to Bukit Panjang, where we were asked to draw out the LRT map with only one person consulting the map for 3 seconds each time. meh. easy though.
the fun part came when we took the LRT to Choa Chu Kang to go to Bukit Gombak...
cos we got cut off!! like half the group ran onto the LRT and the rest of the group couldnt get in and the doors closed.
yay.
and of course, all the sec3s were stuck on the platform
and it was the sec1s and sec2s on the train. joy.
wasted alot of time, but it was good fun..
PLUS I HAVE BLACKMAIL MATERIAL xD if anyone wants to hear what Ruoting and Waiian do on the LRT, ask me, i have videos. xD they are SO immature.
Finally Bukit Gombak, which was really hurried cos Tiddy and Amelia wanted us to get back on time, so we were supposed to do three tasks:
1) Act like Amelia. This was easy, cos Ame was on the phone and we just mimicked whatever she was doing. xD
2) Pretend and act out your reaction if you found out that your boyfriend was gay. This was spastic cos Hilary was acting as the gay person, and Hilary is hilarious.
3) Propose to Tiddy with as many pickup lines as possible. T______________________T 'nuff said. we said so many cheesy pickup lines, i want to die of shock and horror.
then we went back, late, but at least we weren't the last. i think we came in fifth.
but regardless, I STILL GOT TO THE SHOWER FIRST. :D
oh yeah, and we had no time for optional stations. D:
NIGHT SURPRISE. I AM IN LOVE WITH NIGHT SURPRISE.
We are apparently VIPs visiting a hospital. Grace Zhang (or as she said, some Gynae Cologiest Grace or something to that effect...) was holding some pills. and if she loses the pills, all her patients will die.
so of course, the lights go off, and when they come on again, the pills are GONE. shock and horror. So we are given the task of searching the entire room for clues which will lead to the rooms which will give us clues to where the pills are.
So...
went to Marjorie's room first, also our own room. (we're like one whole group into one roomy bunk. that's about twelve pple.) Marjorie was there pretending to be an insane woman whose child had died or smth, and Zoe was just sitting in a corner half hidden, with her legs sticking out. Their makeup was amazingly done, huge black circles under their eyes, red 'blood' all over the place, and their acting is amazing. I think this was one of the freakiest rooms.
Marjorie: My baby was born in MARCH...MARCH...MARCH... (ehm the clue is march. i kinda figured.)
Then zoe started SINGING. this really creepy voice, y'know like in horror movies and they have little child ghosts singing and the voice just sends chills down your back (omg cliched phrase! yay!). yup. like: " I may never MARCH in the infantry...march..march...MARCH..." and then dissolves into these high-pitched giggles. Then she pretends to trip and falls down.
Marjorie: WHO PUSHED MY BABY?
and she gets all freaky and she stares into you like you're the culprit. then, because we're all freaked out and huddled in a corner gawping (hey, this is our room, and this is what you do for Night Surprise) she yells, "GET OUT!!!!!" and we stumble/fumble for the door and get out of there as fast as possible.
This is basically the routine for most of the rooms; next we tried to go to the 3rd floor, but they chased us out... so we went to B1-04 where Amelia was pretending to be the insane lover of this guy who died (Squishie) and she kept screaming something about how "he loved the bedroom, he liked sleeping so much, and now he's sleeping FOREVER!!!!" the hint was bedroom, so yeah...
next! B1-11 with Crystal and (ithink) Gladys. "i need height extensions... i want to be taller... i need plastic surgery...i want to be taller...very importantly... I NEED TO BE TALLER...."
"Turn off the lights. You're interrupting my operation."
and they chased us out again, since we were gawping there like the bunch of nonsensical donkeys we were. next was the family room, with Yikai and Zhen Er the lunatics.
"Let's talk about ROOMS today..."
"No ROOM for a CHAIR..."
"All the world's a stage... and all the men and women in it..."
"But the world's too SMALL...."
*insane giggles*
by this time we're wideeyed and freaked out, so we get out of there as quickly as possible.
putting together the clues, they're:
a) The person is short/small (height extensions...The world's so small...)
b) The person's room is on the 3rd floor (March = 3rd month)
c) The room the pills are in is a bedroom.
d) The person is our chairperson... in other words zoe.
so we figured the pills were in zoe's room.
so we went up to the third floor, but they wouldn't let us in (grace zhang chased us back to the lift) because we hadn't gone to the last room for the last clue, which was in the dining hall.
So yes, off we go to the dining hall, where tiddy is lying there covered in a blanket, and she moans and starts crawling on the ground and going..." I NEED DRUGS..." Then she starts grabbing at people's ankles, which makes our entire group SCREAM like lunatics and run off to the opposite end of the room. to cut a long story short, she freaked us all out for nothing much, since we'd already figured out her DRUGS clue.
That was when we realised we had no more time. -.-" so we went back.
no one had found the pills, so they all died.
Alicia: Since they all died, now you have to CARRY the bodies back here. GO! NOW! i'm giving you 15 minutes.
So since the staircases (except for the one leading from the 1st floor to the second) have all been locked, the lift becomes congested. Some take the stairs to the 2nd floor, where we find tiddy, marjorie, nicole and zoe all lying there.
Marjorie, is TALL and therefore VERY HEAVY. our whole group was dying trying to figure out how to carry her without making her feel too uncomfortable/painful/indecent etc. So we spent alot of time dithering around doing that. and stopping for breaks. Then another group was struggling with Zoe, so Ruoting the amazing person piggybacked her down to the first floor via the stairs, and we continued struggling with Marjorie at the lift landing. another group came to help, but they needed help with Tiddy too, so we split up and some of us carried Tiddy down the stairs. Tiddy is really heavy for a (relatively) short person, and well.. yeah, we made the smart move of attempting to carry her down the stairs headfirst. you could practically see her going white and yeah..well, you could tell she was really scared we'd drop her or smth. heck, WE were scared we'd drop her.
anw in the end once we'd gotten all of them in the room, they were like, "They should at least have a proper burial." and they played this powerpoint with all their photos in black and white, accompanied by 'Amazing Grace' sung by Grace and Yikai.
The funny element only became evident when we realised that as they continued with the song, it got gradually louder, more ridiculous sounding (y'know like when you purposely sing out of tune?) and it was obvious that it was really funny.
Then Alicia was like: God bless their souls... and Michelle sat up.
souls... Zoe.
souls...souls...SOULS....JESSICA THE SOUL!! OY!!
the really funny thing was that they were supposed to sit up with each 'SOUL' and well... some of them lost count. So they couldnt figure when it was their turn, so they just lay there and didnt know what to do. and Alicia had to yell at them. so it turned from grave to hilariously comical.
YAP YIKAI!! and Yikai looks like she just fell asleep, hair all messy and yeah, i kinda got the impression she fell asleep during the whole thing. xD which would have been funny. but you could tell they were really surprised it was their turn already. xD especially with MARJORIE ANG!!!!!! who looked even more like she'd fallen asleep than Yikai, she sat up so quickly. x)
and on the whole, night surprise was TOTALLY AMAZING and well, i have no clue whether batch08 can ever live up to last night's brilliant performance, but if i could relive it all over again, i would.
and this time, i'd ignore the time limit and go to zoe's room. meh. AND FIND THE PILLS!!!!!
