waggishhumor the boys are back in town; At the startling revelation that their only son was almost 30 and was set to live out his life as a small-time criminal, the Knochens knew something had to be done. Unfortunately, that 'something' turned out to be sending the problematic Bradley Knochen to live with his older cousin Charlie Toussaint, whom the Knochens thought "could knock some sense into the boy." They had no idea Charlie would take that figure of speech to heart. If one's not making the other's life a living hell, then they're having a knock-down, drag-out fight-and that's only the beginning. But whether they like it or not, they're family, and they're a lot more alike than they realize.

cometospain the river of dreams; Georgia is a remnant of another lifetime, and because of that, she holds a place in Charlie's heart few people ever touch. She was there in his final moments as a soldier in World War Two, sat by his bedside after the accident-and now, she offers brief glimpses into the man he used to be. In Charlie's eyes, she isn't just another silver-haired lady; she's a heroine and an equal, and when push comes to shove he'll protect her with a ferocity usually not seen from the otherwise mild-mannered Charlie. Most of the time, though, he's content to just clean out her gutters, work on her car, and do some heavy lifting for her when her hip goes out.

journalnameherejukebox heroes; Power-tools, poker nights, and weekend fishing getaways as far as the eye can see: Yes, I'm talking about the man friends. Their idea of a "boys' night out" is considerably tamer than their younger counterparts', but that's the way they like it. Although their conversations usually have the emotional depth of a mud puddle, they're dependable, and that's what really matters, whether the job at hand is fixing a car or protecting the innocent.

[MULTIPLE SPOTS AVAILABLE. In general, I'm looking for 30+ years, male, traditional family men.]

bramblesgaveway every little thing she does is magic; Jessica is a classic case of a female friend Charlie thinks he's developing feelings for, but will never tell her. He avoids it for a myriad of reasons: He's too old for her, he's handicapped, and she's way out of his league, but above all he realizes that she doesn't need a boyfriend right now. Instead, he hopes the feelings will eventually pass and in the meanwhile provides Jess the only thing he knows to offer: stability, whether that entails faithfully waking up at 2 AM every night to walk Jessica home from work, or otherwise going through ridiculous lengths for her.
