just another update
new info on Marc's situation. after they cleared his heart of all problems, he was at work two days later and collapsed while holding a 200lb beam and dropped it on his foot. Marc says he was just waiting for a lift to arrive, and was thinking about his family, and basically had an anxiety attack and collapsed. his boss wrote it up as accidental injury so he wouldn't get fired. he went to a facility down at the hospital in the south where they did some additional testing, and it looks like they are going to put him on valium or something. he's already been seeing a therapist regularly, which is good. still, it's kind of distressing.
on another note, i have found a new way to be generous and have Christmas spirit. it is the LJ-run Christmas Wishes. you can browse people's lists or post your own. i have been making up care packages all evening to send all over the country. just simple things that will bring someone some joy. one young mother asked for stickers and craft things for her daughter. done! there are lost of ways to contribute even when you don't have money yourself. check it out.
