Quiet

Well, she is asleep soundly in her bassinet next to my bed. She will move to her own room once we return from our St.Louis visit mid-October.

Things have been going well. I miss all the alone time I used to have though. I should be in bed now trying to catch up on sleep while she is quiet. However, it's nice to sit at the computer without having to entertain her at the same time. That being said, the loss of alone time is happily sacrificed. And, eventually, she will have a somewhat regular schedule and I will know when I will be able to carve out my alone time.

I applied for an admin assistant telecommuting position today. I'd say a few of those pop up every week. I am more than qualified for the jobs out there but the demand for telecommuting jobs is so high, it's really difficult to even get a call back. This one is for 15-20 hours a week. It entails maintaining some sort of database and printing reports off of excel. My excel skills are less than stellar right now. However, I have no doubt I could get the hang of it after a week or so. They are looking for someone with excellent excel skills though. So, I may indeed be out of my league on this one. Oh well, sooner or later I will click with the right position.

We head to St. Louis three weeks from tomorrow. I am looking forward to it but I dread leaving my dogs behind. However, we have a stellar pet sitter who will be with them from 7pm til 7am. Then she will make a one hour mid-day visit. The dogs have met her and love her. They will be fine but not so sure about me. How will I sleep without two smelly dogs laying on top of me?
