Writer's Block: Ten for the Tenth

Nov 10, 2008 13:57

Through however long I've been alive (which hasn't been very long, I'll give the universe that) I've come across plenty of music. I haven't liked a lot of it. I've got to say, there's one CD that I will never, ever grow tired of listening to. In number one of my top ten list is Senses Fail's CD 'Let it Enfold You'. I don't know why I love it so much, but I simply do. Second on the list is Mannheim Steamroller's album 'Christmas', and third on the list is occupied by their album 'A Fresh Aire Christmas'. What can I say, I grew up listening to those CDs, I can't help but love them.

Fourth on the list is Takeharu Ishimoto, Kazuhiko Toyama and Nobuo Uematsu's collaboration effort on the soundtrack for 'Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core'. Once again, many happy memories from pseudo-childhood about a guy trying to save the world. Most of that CD is re-done versions of the original Final Fantasy VII sountrack, which is why I love it so much. Fifth is another soundtrack, but this time the second soundtrack to the D.Gray-Man anime.

Sixth is 'Brand New Day' by Sting, followed by My Chemical Romance's 'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge' in Seventh. Eighth is Armor For Sleep's 'What to do When You Are Dead' CD, which is rather closely followed by The Beatles' 'Past Masters: Volume Two' collection CD in Ninth place.

Finally, in the Tenth spot, is Saving Jane's 'Girl Next Door'. The CD seems almost like something by Alannis Morrisett, but there are lines that you would just never hear from her that make it stand out a bit more.

music, writer's block, top 10
