Icons for artword challenge 001
I haven't posted any art in quite a while. I have made some, though. :) I'll post it all over the next weeks.
Let's start with this response to the new artword challenge. You may make either vids, banners, comics or a set of 10 icons, matching a provided fic. I chose the icons.
Fic Prompt: Loss of Words by lillyjk
Hope you like what I came up with. :)
Rodney has been accused of suffering what Carson termed verbal diarrhea on more than one occasion. The observation always made Rodney roll his eyes.
He has elevated sarcasm to an art form, the ability to flay the skin from others with nothing more than the sting of his tongue.
Zelenka trades him words, and throws in exaggerated eye rolls and exasperated sighs.
Even Elizabeth sometimes looks at Rodney like his words are a different breed, some new language.
Ford used to look at him blankly and crack a joke when Rodney got caught up in words.
Teyla would smile that serene little smile, what Rodney dubbed her I am but a simple peaceful native smile.
Ronon would grunt and look Rodney up and down with the same look he usually reserved for food.
Like some of those mismatched characters in the buddy movies, Rodney the unwitting comic relief to John's straight man routine.
Only that was the very thing that finally made Rodney go quiet.
Made him start losing his words back months ago, let him learn to enjoy silence under the stars.
