What a fun theme at
monthlyinspo this month:
Chocolate Box! At first, it looked like a pure color challenge, but it didn't feel like it while I was working on it. It was also about taste and texture, and figuring out how to visually interpret other qualities of chocolate. Last but not least, I had fun composing the set in a way that looks like a box of chocolates. :D
My fave icon from the set is the "meow" one, from this interview:
Bai Yu teaches Zhu Yilong the miao miao song.
Orange Mousse
Marbled (Guylian)
Pop Rock Chocolate
Cinnamon Blush
Coconut Pyramid
Dark
Raspberry Star
Peanut Duet
Blätterkrokant
Caramel Swirl
Most of the types were given in the challenge post, but I added some of my own favorites:
Marbled (Guylian) -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guylian Pop Rock Chocolate - I am not sure that's what it's called, but it's chocolate that contains little carbonated pieces that explode on your tongue -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pop_Rocks Blätterkrokant - something like nut crunch or nut brittle toffee, just much finer, thinner, and crispier. My favorite pralines! I couldn't find an exact translation, so here's an image search -
