20 icons for monthlyinspo

Not my best set, sadly. I was very inspired by the challenge Musically at monthlyinspo, because I love using lyrics, but I had almost no time this month so I had to fill these up with other icons. At least I managed thirteen music-inspired icons, better than nothing.

I really like the coloring and composition of 4. The negative space of 2 and 17 also looks great :D

I super relate to your feelings on not having time to make a perfect set and how frustrating that is! That whole thing could have been written by me. I maaaay still enter tomorrow but if I do it's gonna be pretty meh.

Anyway, I still think there's a lot of beauty in this post even if it's not your favorite. I really like the light, airy feel of these, especially on 5 and 13! The pale coloring in 12 is honestly super pretty, and there is some serious lighting magic going on in 11! 2 has a great composition, I really like the decorations on top, what a creative way to highlight the music. And the minimalistic look on 17 is really great too. 20 is one of my top favorites too, gorgeous crop and I'm always a sucker for bw+color.

I think you did a great job, I know it's hard to shake that feeling of 'meh' if you had it while making them, but don't be too hard on yourself cause this is a solid set with lots of great stuff in it!

I am pretty happy with some of the icons I made, I just couldn't make enough, and I would have had so many more lyrics ideas if I'd had time to take a breath and think about it. It's more the frustration of a missed chance, not really frustration about not liking what I did make.

I love bright lighting, but it doesn't always come out the way I want it. I am glad you like these! 2 was definitely one of the most complicated icons to make in the set, I am happy it works. The idea for the swirls came only in the third pass or so.
