My Life In Icons
The theiconthrone challenge My Life In Icons asked for icons describing me as a person. I'm not telling people details about my life in a public post, but I didn't want to just icon superficial things, either. I hope I struck a good balance.

I googled for tv characters who speak more than one language, and of course Giles immediately caught my eye. :D
Theiconthrone is basically a land comm only for icons.
You sign up for one of two teams (Night or Bright). Each round lasts for three months (I think), and there are several challenges to participate in throughout the round.
There is the weekly throne challenge, for which you have to make exactly one icon, which is worth ten points. Those are voted on and the winners get extra points.
Then there are the theme challenges, in which you usually can make up to 12 icons (no minimum) every two weeks. Each icon there gets you 5 points.
Of course you don't have to participate in every challenge. At the end of the round, one of the teams wins.
It's more fun for me than the other land comms, because everyone on theiconthrone is an icon maker. In other land comms, there are different types of challenges - some art, some poetry or meta, some games, and some interactive challenges. I have found that I don't have any motivation there, but theiconthrone has been a lot of fun.
It sounds like you're competing for a throne and it's all very competitive, which is why I almost didn't join at first, but it turns out it isn't competitive, at all. People are really nice and I'm just having fun with the very diverse challenges.

The current round is also not that much longer, I think. We're already at challenge 16, and I think there are 25 per round. So you have a while to check out if you like the challenge themes.
