auroracloud asked me for icons, and one of the themes she wanted was "autumn leaves". Now theiconthrone has a challenge called "Fallen Leaves". So I decided to combine them and made a ton of stock icons, which is rare for me

My favorites are the stock icons without words. I love number four and seven in the alts section.

Are you sticking with Preacher? I've forgotten how many episodes there were and even what channel it was on. Was it fX? I quit after episode five because I'd started out liking the three main characters and I was having flashes that by the end of season one, if not sooner, I would end up hating them all.

Thank you! I am particularly proud of #7. It's one of my own photographs and it took quite some tweaking to make it look like this. It is a road I take often and really like, too.

I have watched the whole first season and, yes, you're right, the characters are all questionable. They all make weird decisions, and I also find I don't like any of them wholeheartedly (anymore). I do like the laconic humor and the hot texas summer, though. I have not started on season 2 yet, but I might.

I am not in the US, so I have no idea what channel it is/was on there. I can get it through Amazon Prime.

Sorry. Even though I read your journal faithfully, I forget sometimes you're not living in the USA. (Your English is better than most Americans, I swear.) I looked Preacher up. It was on AMC here. Since I quit watching it, I haven't checked to see if its still On Demand. I had no idea they'd already made a second season. How time flies...

I'll only watch a TV series if it's on my television or if I can get it from the library. I pay too much for cable as it is (televised sports and MSNBC rules in my household, alas). There is no way I'll pay for premium channels or Netflix or Amazon Prime. Even as little as I do watch, I'm always a season behind with most shows. I did record season four of The Americans and I watched it mostly in real time this year. Go me!

Yay, The Americans are cool. I am still stuck way back in season 3 (or 2?), and it has turned so gruesome that I have had a hard time motivating myself to continue. Sometime when I have less work, maybe.

I used to rant at the providers that we're unable to buy tv shows when they air in the US (and thus were always excluded from fandom unless we got shows illegally). So now that things are changing, I make it a point to actually buy everything I want to watch. Even though it's really expensive at 3 Euros an episode. But I think I have to support the idea. At the moment, all I watch is Preacher and Lucifer.

I would love to also have Elementary, for example. But it's not available. I don't understand why some things are, and some aren't. I have to take what I can get. *sigh*

These are beautiful! Thank you so much! At the moment, I think I'm first taking #4 and #7 from the alt section, though I'm also saving #6, #7 and #10 from the first section, to see if I also want to use them / later change into them.

And I don't mind if someone else uses them. Though for ones I said I'll take, I guess it's more pragmatic if people I know don't use them. :-)

p.s.: thanks for coming by specifically to comment! <3 I mean, I really love theiconthrone, but the sense of community is not really there (yet), since the icons are all hidden away somewhere. I don't know, it still hasn't caught on to post them to neutral_court.

I really like the colors in these, the whole post really looks like a set, autumn-y and lovely. I think my favorites are, from the stock ones - #8, because I love how the leaves are silhouetted against a glowing background; with the hills in the horizon it's almost like a traditional Japanese painting. Also, the last alt because I just love how minimalistic it is, in a good, artistic kinda way. :) And the flowing lines of text in 7 are really creative, it looks like you had fun visualizing the concept! Then from the fandom ones, I'm totally snagging #2. :) And I like #1 as well.

Thank you for sharing them! I suspect it's hard to tell from my lack of commenting (*kicks self*) but I really enjoy seeing your icons on my flist, watching you experiment and being genuine and creative. ♥

#8 does look like a Japanese painting, you're right. That hadn't occurred to me.

I'm happy you like the last alt, too. It's one of those I made from my own photographs, and I am not a good photographer. It's rare that I take a picture that has any kind of artistic value. :D

#7: I used to hate complex text. But now that I know that it takes ages to make, I love doing it.

Glad to hear you like #2. I'm very happy with how that turned out.

I love #1, too. I guess I should do remakes with actors other people like, not just my own weird favorite. ;D
