I only just watched it! Wasn't it awesome? :DDDDDD

I was overall really amused how all the scenes of Sam being highly unimpressed with Reese and with their mission echoed Astolat's fic from a few days ago. My favorite bit was Sam calling Reese "Your poorly socialized guard dog." LOLOLOL

Fusco is back, yay! I've missed him. And I like that he's still a bit of a morally gray character, that he was warning Carter to not get tangled up in the Cal Beecher investigation - because Fusco is still, to a certain degree, more out for himself and more concerned with his own safety than Carter will ever be. And yet he's also trying really hard to be a good partner to her, and doing a great job! I loved his cold, threatening smile to Beecher when he was warning him away from Carter. That was a very John Reese sort of expression.

I had wondered about "coming down" from the relevants to the irrelevants. Not sure the show is doing itself a service by comparing themselves to the Relevant team.

You know, I can see how Sam might see it as a come-down, but honestly - they're saving a life every second day or so! That's 100 people per year! Have there been any successfully deadly terrorist attacks in the USA since 9/11, never mind any involving hundreds of people? I'm sure things are busier in the POI universe, but still, the Team Irrelevant must be close to saving as many lives as Team Relevant per year, even if they do it one at a time.

And Finch didn't know who got shot, and Reese taking his time reassuring him (quietly), and Finch releasing his breath. Waaaaaaah.

OMG I wanted to punch John in the neck there for not reassuring him right away. Who else should Finch have assumed that horrified sound Monica made was for, if not Reese?

Just, why did they have to kill Beecher? Wouldn't it have been nice to have him around?

I'm glad they did, honestly, although it was very predictable and I saw it coming the second he turned out to not be evil. I haven't liked the way he's been behaving towards Carter. He was being really inappropriately pushy, and if he'd stayed around, there'd have been a romantic storyline, and I was already wincing at the thought. I just really didn't like him enough anymore to want to see him dating Carter.

Apart from the fact that I don't think his godfather would actually prefer killing him over reassigning him.

Reassigning Beecher wouldn't have stopped him from digging, though. He's a huge risk to his godfather, because he's basically the only person outside of HR who even has a reason to suspect he might be involved in shady things.

So so much. Better than expected. I thought we'd get another filler before the season finale arc starts.

I liked it, although I saw that coming. But I honestly think it's not in character for Shaw? But maybe I'm taking her too much at her word that she's not a sensitive person. Because if she's as socially inept as she lets on, she would not notice the same about Reese. Ignore me, I scored 12. //(

I'm not quite sure I understand. Do you mean he warned her away because he thought she might find out more bad things about Fusco (which I don't think is the case here even though they played that angle a few times over the past episodes), or because he was projecting onto Carter and tried to make her see that she needs to be more careful about herself? I interpreted it as caring for his partner.

Yes, I loved that, too. It was not like him at all. But Beecher wouldn't know that.

True. It is pretty good.

A little, yeah. But he was in the middle of a dangerous situation and he can't put Finch's feelings first - he needs to secure the number, then catch his breath. So I didn't blame him all that much.

Noooo!
Um, I agree. No Carter/Beecher please. I hadn't thought about the fact that Carter was only so cold to him because she thought he was dirty, not because he was behaving like a shit towards her. So maybe she would have gone back to dating him once he was cleared. That's definitely worse than killing him off. I would only have been able to stand it if there was no romance and she'd keep on being harsh towards him.

He's a huge risk to his godfather

Hmm. Yeah, ok. But I still wonder why his godfather put him on display like that in the first place. He put him at risk by giving him that tip - so maybe he didn't like him all that much after all.
