Sorry for the radio silence... I don't really have a good reason, just not feeling very sociable this year (ha!), and tumbling head first into a new fandom. neery introduced me to Person of Interest, and while I don't really go for that kind of show, I must admit I really like it.

He does, doesn't he? I pity Fusco lately, because he's trying so hard to be good, and John keeps shooting him down. But then it's just that we're getting used to the characters as we're getting to know them better, and tend to like them all. Fusco did try to kill John in the beginning, after all. John is not sympathetic towards killers, ever.

Lucky you! Having to wait weeks between eps is killing me.
I can imagine. I tend to slow down with the watching when I get close to the last ep available.

You know, when I was whining to Martha about how I'd probably never have anyone to watch POI with, because I didn't think you'd like it, it really didn't occur to me that I'd never have anyone to watch POI with because you like it so much you can't stop.. ;)

I pity him too, but on a meta level, I think having John be constantly kind of a dick to him is the best thing the writers could do for Fusco's character. Because he did try to kill John, and probably killed other people, and he's not actually a very good person! And if everyone was nice to him, I'd actually have to remember that. But as it is, with John being a dick to him all the time even though he's trying SO HARD to do better, I can really enjoy his redemption arc.

Yay! I really love all of bigfoot's fic. She does repression and fucked-up lonely broken guys so well. I'm desperately waiting for her to finish her goddamn WIP already.

Well, it doesn't mean that at all, does it? It just means we can choose the actual good ones to rewatch. I'm very much for rewatching.

You're right. It is painful to watch, but it makes sense. OTOH, Carter is getting on my nerves (by 1x21) because she lets herself get walked all over by Reese (that construction doesn't sound right, but you know what I mean). She is constantly threatening him that she can't let him go vigilante all over town shooting people, but she never follows through. I am angry at the writers about that, because she isn't as toothless as that.
I really love all of bigfoot's fic.
I'll need to check out the rest. I've only read her first one, the one with the collar, and did not like it at all. It was ooc all over the place (and I just don't like collaring at all). But she does do broken guys and non-communication excellently, so I'm not dissuaded yet.

Yeah, they're kind of inconsistent there, because judging by how she acts the rest of the time, she should have nowhere near as much patience for Reese's shit as she does. I love her, but she should be kicking his ass more.
Oh, the fic with the collar is my least favorite, too. Armor is fucking awesome and she needs to finish it already (Whyyyyy did I start reading a WIP, I know better). I liked both the Reese/Finch ones, I think (I can't remember the older one that well). The Carter/Fusco ones is really good, too, and the one where Finch and Fusco have a drink together. And I loooooooove the hookerfic in a totally un-objective crazy way because that one pushes all my buttons.
A few of the others were kind of OOC, though.

I really liked the hooker fic (I love hooker fic, who doesn't?).
I liked the threesome fic, too. I'm sure you know the one I mean. The one where "Finch directs and Fusco and Reese act". It was a bit too kinky, maybe, although I'm willing to go pretty far when it comes to breaking Fusco. But I really liked John's jealousy in that one. I like threesome fic where this kind of tension is expressed. It's usually so glossed over, and this fic has just a few sentences where it's clear that John would really want Finch to himself, and that made the whole fic interesting.
p.s.: totally unrelated, but it reminds me of this one not!hooker fic in J2, which is awesome. It's about Jared working as a hooker, and there is no romance and no cinderella and definitely no porn. It's the anti-hooker fic. A little less conversation. I liked that, too.

I want the sequel to the hooker fic. A while ago she said she was writing it, and I'm so impatient for that. I felt so badly for Fusco in that fic.
