I've always found Jeff/Annie creepy because of the age difference.
Yes! And usually on shows, they can sell you whatever they want - they can just leave out the uncomfortable bits and write it like everything's perfect. But they never did that with Annie. They inserted her when she brought tension, and in those episodes, brought Annie's sexuality into the foreground and made her look really attractive. But apart from that physical aspect, the writing never tried to make them work. The field was never level between them.
Not that I care about het ships anyway, erm. *g* To be honest, I'm glad to have a good one again now. There's been nothing but slash before. Okay, Vampire Diaries has a cool het ship (or two), as well. But slash is just not all that satisfying for me. The relationship has to be on screen for me to work well. Gay soaps are totally fine, of course.
Plus, I like Britta better.
I like her a lot, actually. There are some quirks about her that I don't understand, but I like most everything about her.
Thank you. It feels pathetic to be waiting for someone to discuss this with me, because I love it so much and it would be so much better to share it with someone. And the posts just... you know, lie there without a single comment. But I've gotten used to writing them up, and also, it's slowing down my progress, which is a good thing. So I'm actually feeling good about it now, no matter whether anyone cares. *g*

I know exactly what you mean. I have not watched a single episode of anything else (neither Vampire Diaries nor White Collar) since I started with Community. I don't have time for much, either.

I think if I continue in this way, I'll be caught up in two weeks. ;) Nah, I am trying to pace myself. I just got the season one box set (region 1 only but affordable). Totally worth it for the 25 commentaries alone, and I'm going through that at the moment, waiting for hubby to catch up to me (he's only two eps behind by now and he only started a week ago O_o).
Anyway: in the commentaries, they mention that they are nowhere near as popular as Glee (they call themselves the "dirty cousin") - but I think they are catching up a little by now. I'm very much looking forward to this season. I wish I could catch up in time with the season finale, but... I don't think it's going to happen.

No, you're not. And I'd write more, but I watched it MONTHS ago and my brain isn't what it used to be, so I'd have to re-watch, and who has the time?!
