Just to piss off certain entities
I used to write fanfiction for a few TV shows but mostly movies, and the majority of those were from the golden age of the 30s and 40s. Once I started getting my work published, that went by the wayside. Lately, though, I've found myself returning to it, with stories in Westward the Women, On the Beach, and Hatari!. Unfortunately, those last two are on the back burner, but hopefully I'll get to them at some point.
However... The other night, gem225 emailed me and asked if I'd consider putting my Laura fics up on AO3. I have a lot of stories on my computer that either can't or won't be put up on the Net, but those stories aren't among them, so why not? I read over the first, That Sunday, That Summer, which is kind of McPherson fucking with Waldo Lydecker's mind, and it's now on AO3.
I read over the second, If I Had to Choose--McPherson/Carpenter, which might not need a lot of revising, but the third, A Moment to Last My Life Through--Laura/Diane, (my very first try at f/f) has changed quite a bit, not to mention expanding from about 2200 words to over 4300. Well, that's what happens when I fall down the rabbit hole of fiddling.
