1. Does the Queen still have any magic left? Does Azkadellia?

The Queen does not. She channeled her own personal abilities and chi to bring DG back to life, leaving her with enough energy to continuing living at this depleted state or premature aging. See the proper way to bring someone back from the dead is to have more than one magic user and tap into ley line/environmental chi, so you don't drain yourself dead to bring someone back.

There's nothing wrong with Az's magic, if anything, she had a magic boost with the possession. But she is going to have issues with even the innocent magical things the witch used to do. In Dragons and Ninjas, she only teleported because she was afraid for DG's life.

2. Do all Gales have the same magic? Or do they each specialize in certain kinds?

Do I have enough space for my magical theory? Here it goes. Besides the three different levels of chi (personal, environmental, universal), there are three different strains of magic users. Mortal witches and wizards are more attune to using personal chi first. Fae are more attune to using environmental. Gensiarians are more attune to using universal.

Mortal magic users magic also differs by whether they are predominately ying or yang. Blood magic is stealing another's chi to work magic, massively bad karma with that. The Queen and Azkadellia are predominately ying, which they shared with the rulers since Ozma. DG is predominately yang, which she shared with Dorothy Gale and the witches of the dark. Evil is how you do magic but what you do with magic. But this is also why DG had such a hard time tapping the light magic or using it fully. Ozma and Dorothy also had stronger magic together, like Az and DG do.

3. Is there a way for the Queen to unlock the rest of DG’s memories or are they mostly lost forever?

There's nothing there to unlock. The age thing plus the trauma of all of it: the witch possessing Az, then killing her, then parents sending her away. Hank and Emily were damn fine parents. The first few years with DG on the Other Side could not have been easy. And given Hank's line "The creepy cave nightmare again?" I think she never stopped dreaming about it. The pretty images of the O.Z. hanging on the walls were some visual memories, embellished by Hank's fairy tales.

4. Does DG dive head first into being a princess only to melt down later or does she attempt to pace herself?

I think she dives headfirst into helping rebuild the O.Z. and screw her title. She doesn't give a rat's ass about it and people are hurting. And when there is shock and dismay how she doesn't appreciate her position or how things used to be done, she gets further irritated that people would rather get caught up in the celebrity watch than feed starving children.

Raw spends a lot of time making sure she doesn't work herself into a coma.

5. Does Ahamo have a job in Court?

Not an official job title other than Prince Consort. Slippers who stay in the O.Z. get pushed up to that rank because of Dorothy, and it sounds better in diplomatic relations with other kingdoms. But the Queen relies on him as a reader of people and how would non-royalty see this.

6. In your mind what is the Queen's real name? What is Ahamo's?

Since the miniseries sort put the Queen in Glinda's role of getting the quest ball rolling, I named her Galinda (borrowed from Maguire), named after Glinda in her bio. Ahamo, I have yet to find a decent name for him from the Other Side.

7. Who is going to be Queen of the O.Z.? Will the current Queen remain or will she abdicate to Az or DG?

In Dragons and Ninjas, DG was Queen when she woke back up in the O.Z. In Pirates of the Nonestic, none of the noble class thinks DG can handle the position of Queen given how strange she is but Azkadellia is equally unwanted as Crown Princess. The population would be overjoyed with DG, but she doesn't believe that.

Ah, another Maguire reader! I also used "Galinda," but put the regnal name of Ozma in front.

Oh, and Cain? Totally raised Unionist. Personal fanon has Adora's dad as a Unionist preacher, rather like Frexspar. Cain abandoned religion for the most part walking the beats in Central City, and tossed the rest out during his time in the Suit. In the course of the story arc I have, he's getting back in touch with spirituality.

Ambrose, being from Ev, is a Lurlinist (Unionism didn't cross the Deserts too well). He dismissed the whole idea as nonsense before the Witch took power, but came to find comfort in it during his time as Glitch. This leads to some VERY interesting discussions with him and Cain.

(Meanwhile, the Shamanistic Raw and the agnostic DG are rolling their eyes...)

All my maps started with the Maguire maps, http://www.bookwormlibrary.us/backgrounds/oz_maps.html.

I haven't delved too much into the religions even though I like what Maguire does with them. All the Sisters named after their roles are some of my favorite bit players. I just don't have much to do with religion in my fiction or fanfiction.

The closest I think I have ever gotten is Cain waking up thinking he should be dead and childhood church lessons had lied to him. The afterlife shouldn't hurt.

But yeah, the suit would make him lose any religion he had.
