Oh, your thoughts on the ROTU are interesting ... I hadn't thought of it as a cave. I thought it was sort of a pocket dimension (like the "curved vacuum emboitement" arc in Doctor Who) and that once you got in, through a cave-type entrance or manhole or whatever, then it was like being outside again. Come to think of it, Airofday does set their meeting time by the rising of the first moon.

Of course, it's possible that we could combine Narnia and Harry Potter, and say that the ROTU is a pretty large underground complex (like in Silver Chair) and that its roof has been enchanted to look like whatever the sky outdoors looks like (like the Hogwarts dining hall).

I think that Az like to mess with the weather a bit after she overthrew her mother. There was talk in the show about poor harvests and starvation due to the weather. Probably something she did in her spare time for amusement.

I always compare the Realm to -what I assume- New Orleans must be like at night. I was there on a Sunday and it was crazy... so night must be WILD!
