A Quick Question...Perhaps not so quick...

Baum's to be exact.

Prompted by the (apparently false) belief I had that there had been a Clockwork Kingdom in the books, I now wonder what books we're considering canon here. If any.
Even Baum couldn't get his canon right. )

nitpicky, plot holes, other canons: baum, setting: the o.z.

No. There is a "Paper Kingdom" Actually its a town in Oz where the people are like Paper Dolls, and it is from the fifth book in the series, " The Emerald City of Oz." That book probably explores Oz's weird little villages the most. There was one where the people were literally jigsaw puzzles, one where cutlery were alive and one populated by bunnies too.

The Veggie Kingdom is not actually in Oz, but is inside the earth. Dorothy and Wizard and a cousin of hers end up there after they are all accidently swallowed up by earth in an Earthquake.

I don't remember a clockwork kingdom though the men who made Ticktock were from EV and made stuff for the Nome kingdom. The book the Emerald City gives you a pretty through idea of many places in Oz and most of the surrounding fairylands, according to Baum's cannon. All the rulers of these kingdoms visit to celebrate Ozma's birthday. So, if you are curious that might be a book to look at!

National Geographic has a wonderful map of Baum's land of Oz.
