“She's very pink.”
Wyatt glanced down at the tentatively-held bundle of newborn princess in DG's arms. “Might have something to do with this get-up your mother's got her in.” He reached out to finger a gauzy layer of flouncy skirt that probably outweighed the baby.
“Yeah,” DG said, wrinkling her nose. “Is there anything else we can put her in?”
Cain chuckled. “Already got Glitch on it, don't fret.”
DG sighed contentedly, relaxing into her pillows. “Still,” she said, her blue eyes scrutinizing every inch of her new daughter's perfect face. “She's very pink. Was Jeb this pink?”
The baby yawned, bored already with the attention.
“Not that I recall,” he said. “But I drew the line at lettin' Adora decorate him like a cake.”
