“Oh, for heaven’s sake,” Glitch huffed. Raw watched him sweep onto the dance floor and stick himself between a flustered princess and a boorish suitor. As Glitch twirled DG skillfully away through the sea of ball gowns, Raw felt their relief.

“I don’t want anyone but you for my partner,” DG whispered desperately into his hair, her arms around his neck. “Ever. Promise.”
“Promise,” he gasped. Her legs tightened around him, he hoped the old attic chair continued to hold their weight. When she came, her warm breath fell upon his zipper, and his hands were full of taffeta.
