Pickle Drop
Happy New Year folks. I made the mistake of too much partying New Years Eve. I wasn't drunk or hung over or anything. But i started too early. I was making jello shots which had me starting to drink at about noon and i went to a party that convened at about 3 so by 9 PM I was tired and nearly falling asleep. I did make it to midnight though. I watched the pickle drop, which is Dilsburg, PA's version of NY's ball. The pickle is about 3 feet tall and it has arms and legs and a hat so it mostly looks like that Planters Peanut man only green. And it was raining and the pickle body (not the arms and legs) appeared to be wrapped in celophane. Or maybe that is just how it normally is. I don't know. this was my first (and hopefully last) year of watching the pickle drop. Anyway, in case you're not getting a good visual here, it looked like a green penis in a condom. And while it was dropped (approximately 3 stories) it splurted white sparks. out of the center of the top of it's head. really.
