Update: My so-called life
Soooo. One week after my interview with the school I absolutely want to work at- I've heard nothing. I have mixed feelings. She told me that she would be making recommendations to the school board on Tuesday or Wednesday. I wasn't sure how long it would take once that happened before I would hear from Human Resources.. then I heard from two people (Chrystal and Litza) that they heard within 24 hours of the principal making their decision. Okay, so Thursday afternoon, I was very upset because I really thought that things went well and I stand by the fact that I don't think someone will say they are "interested" if they are not. Then I let Janna know that I thought she may have given it to someone else, but Janna told me not to worry because she was still switching current teachers around. So now I don't even know a timeline to give myself before I start putting in resumes elsewhere. This is so frustrating... Everytime I hear the phone ring I jump hoping its the damn school board. This is NO WAY TO LIVE!
In happier news, Travis and I booked a room at the Hard Rock at Universal for the end of the break week. We're meeting up with Stephanie and Melissa and possibly Chadrick, Brian and his girlfriend. We'll see how that pans out. I'm very excited about the rock star room and I'm prepping my looks for when I walk through the front doors. I'm gonna act like a rock star while I'm there. That's what I was supposed to do in this life after all =).. Stephanie and Melissa have to work in the day that Friday so I think Trav and I are going to do some shopping.. well, I'm gonna shop, he's gonna drive. I desperately need new teaching clothes so we'll go to the good places in Orlando.
I miss having the ProTeachers around. It's depressing to not have anything to do while Travis is working. We need a reunion. Possibly in a less hot climate... It's already gross hot!!!
