When "Recent Entries" becomes a misnomer
I'm back! I have been reading fairly faithfully, but I haven't had a chance to post more than the odd comment or two... and for that, I apologize.
Life is busy these days. The job is still a lot of fun, the Ph.D. is (slowly) progressing, and I seem to be spending all my free time either climbing or playing soccer. (I had a soccer tourney today: our game got delayed an hour by this morning's vicious thunderstorm, but I suppose that that's better than playing in the torrential downpour. We lost both games, which means that tomorrow I get to go climbing out-of-doors, what with not having the rest of the tourney to worry about.) Things are busy enough that this evening (a Saturday!) was clean-the-apartment evening. And we didn't finish the whole thing because we're too tired.
In other news... there is no other news. At least, very little. We have a new car (a Mini Cooper!), the cats are still doing well, my sister had another boy in early May, and life continues. The garbage strike is (thankfully) having minimal impact on us, as ours are the best landlords/superintending family ever.
I'll try to post more, to fill in the past few months without making things monolithic.
