Saturday morning he had a relatively minor heart attack. By the afternoon they had managed to start him on dialysis which he desperately needs. The machine is really finicky though and keeps getting clogged or stuck. It is very slow going.

They don't allow visitors or called between 7-9am and 7-9pm so last night we went to target for a few things and back home for dinner. When we got to the hospital, he had taken another turn for the worse. His blood pressure meds weren't working anymore. I really thought he wouldn't last the night. He was all blue and horribly looking. He has made it until this morning at least. His blood pressure is still very low (70/50). It goes a little higher and then comes back down. I don't know how many meds they have tried but right now, it just won't go higher than that. The infection must be really fighting right now. His temp is staying below 101 at least. His heart is having more trouble with keeping regular beats, so that isn't good. Hopefully today they can get his blood pressure back up.

Everyone at the hospital knows he is sick and is working on helping him. My mother and I both work there and most people are considering daddy their own family. It really is amazing how hard they are working to try to help him and us. I can't imagine him being at another hospital and how much harder it would be without all this support. That is one reason I haven't needed to call on my friends for much help. His nurses are staying hours after their shift ends to keep helping him and although he has 1 nurse officially assigned to him, he really ends up with about 3 in there at all times.

I finally got about 5 hours of sleep last night. In a real bed in the doctors sleep area even. I just couldn't come home with him in such bad shape. My kitty will probably never forgive me for neglecting her, but she seems to be dealing ok.
