Pixie Dust (closed), Early Sunday Afternoon

Dec 23, 2007 14:14

Tink was in her store, running an inventory check.

By which we mean, Tink was in her store, looking for hidden bottles of booze.

The store was closed, but it would be obvious to anyone walking by that the pixie was inside.

(For the evil employee giving his not-exactly-two-weeks'-notice)

tink's employees rule, blackheart, pixie dust

Today was it. The day Blackheart was leaving to take over the Earth. And it wasn't until he was about to head off to the causeway that he realized he wasn't going to be able to open the store on Tuesday.

Any Tuesday.

Probably forever, as opening the store after his inevitable world takeover was somewhat redundant, really.

So he decided he'd have one last fling at being a nice guy and he'd inform his employer that she was shit out of luck for Tuesdays. Oops.

Tink waved to her evil demon employee. He didn't work on Sundays, did he? She didn't remember that at all. Was he here for her booze stash? If he could help her find some, she'd split it with him.

Blackheart simply nodded his head by way of greeting and watched her for a moment. A long moment. A couple of moments, really.

"I'm leaving the island."

To the point, wasn't he?

Very nice. Where was he headed? Acapulco? She heard Acapulco was lovely this time of year. And when would he be back? If she needed to have someone else open the store on Tuesdays ... well. Tuesdays could stay closed, really, for the interim. Because really.

"I'm not planning on coming back." Blackheart allowed himself a moment of smug grinning. "I'm planning on taking over."

Oh! Oh, was this an evil thing? Oh, that was stupendous! Would it involve killing a Wendy-bird? Please say it would! And how long would that take, before he came back and ... well. If he was taking over, he didn't have to open on Tuesdays. He could just stop in and share some of her booze and tell her about all the hapless souls he had crushed. Because that would be delightful.

"Many people will suffer and die terribly." He grinned. "It will be wonderful."

And then, just to clarify.

"I probably won't be back until after I've taken over."

Never.

He ... he wasn't coming back for a while?

But that was terrible! And awful! And horrible! And she would miss him in hideous ways because he was ever so much more evil than most people on this island and he was going to crush and destroy people underfoot and ...

Excuse her, she needed a tissue.
