OOC Info
Pixie Dust will be opening for the first time later today. So I thought now would be a good time to give everyone a little info on it, and on its tiny bitchy proprietress.
Tinker Bell is mostly from the Disney version of Peter Pan, except that I've made a couple of tweaks here and there. For one, the Disney movie didn't have the play's poison scene, and screw that. The poison scene is essential.
If you've seen Tink around town, then by now you've figured out that she's tiny, vain, bitchy, and astonishingly shallow. Consider this your warning in future interactions with her. She doesn't always play nice, although a little flattery will always make her change her tune.
Tink is going to be hanging out in bars a lot, drinking, flirting, and picking fights. I'll try to keep her to threads where I know she's welcomed, so if you want some pint-sized harassment, drop into her thread.
Tink's living at 13 Griffin Way with Squall Leonhart, and annoying the living shit out of him. It's like the Odd Couple, only non-verbal.
And of course Tink's running Pixie Dust.
Pixie Dust is a clothing store for all shapes, sizes, ages, genders, and species, skewing to the fashionable (both trendy and classic) with some seasonalwear and accessories around the edges. When major events come up, there will be formalwear, as well, and there are in fact some intimate apparel items. (More negligees and pretty bra/panty sets than leather teddies.)
If you just want to stop in and shop, use the Mod Your Shopping thread.
If you'd like to have a pint-sized fashion expert roll her eyes at what you pick and suggest different things and harass you, then by all means, use her thread instead. Because this could be seriously fun, or at least I think so. (And if you don't, see above in re: Mod Your Shopping.)
If you would like for Tink to suggest a specific outfit of some kind - something that your character would rock the hell out of, but would never actually choose for some reason (not their color, not brave enough, wouldn't think to try it on) - there is a screened post for that.
If you would like to find something hideous and ugly in the store, there are always the racks of things that Tink is either going to send back to the manufacturer or burn, depending. She will attempt to talk you out of it, rather vehemently, but in the end throw her hands up and let you leave with that monstrosity.

She's willing to go a little light on the second, but the first is an absolute must, so understand that she's not going to hire any warm body that presents itself. Employees will, however, get an employee discount, and dibs on some of the really sweet stuff that comes in. And if you sit and dish gossip with her, she'll love you forever. Or until she thinks of something else.
And of course the OOC icon is Margaret Kerry, the girl who posed for all of Tinker Bell's scenes against enormous props. Tink totally needs a fairy icon, but I have no idea of what, since wow, meta.
