(no subject)
OMG last night was really really cool! it was the all-county concert and i was 2nd chair flute and i was playing the piccolo part. it rocked. i'm so happy i made it and the director was an awesome guy. manuel came to the concert and we bought the DVD of it, yes go band nerds. DuBay was there, and i saw mr. finch and mr. coyne, but i didn't say hi to either of them, and i didn't see mr. chisholm at all! sadness. i really liked our music and i was getting pissed that skylar was saying that she didn't like all-county this year because the hardest piece we played was a 5. they were easy, but they had emotion in them and i thought that that was difficult to do with some bands, so our emotion was better than playing a 6 or something. after the concert i talked to mr. barbanera and his wife and they were really happy that i was playing picc and they were really nice. i hope mr. barbanera does all-county next year (and that i make it, hopefully a high chair again too) cuz he was really cool. i also talked to DuBay and i think he was proud of me. lol you can never tell with him. after that we left and went to panera where i had some soup, a caeser salad, and a pumpkin muffin, along with a little bit of manny's italian combo sandwich. mmm...then manny went home =( **tears**
that was the cool part...the ok part was when i went to manny's ROTC competition, i didn't get to see them suck on armed drill, but i got to see him run...woohoo. after the race he said he saw me and he ran up the bleachers and almost tackled me. i think he was really happy i was there. hehe. i felt like a fish out of water but jon carlos was there so it was cool. gene strickland was there too...hmm lol. blake was there for a little bit but he left. o well...omg i never noticed how many ugly guys but pretty girls are in ROTC! lol. almost every guy i saw there was ugly...with a couple exceptions. yeah. around 5 my mom came to get me and we had to go to st. andrews for my brother's pinewood derby race. woohoo. then we left so i could go get ready for the concert. we picked up sky, then we got to durant and my God are there some UGLY uniforms for band kids...i thought ours were bad. those poor sickles kids...
today i woke up around 1...had some lucky charms and howie bread lol. i was trying to get manny over here but his parents don't use common sense so he couldn't come over. i've been sitting on the couch with my mom watching movies on court tv and we might watch something on lifetime. joy. it's really cold today. i hope i don't have too much make-up work from friday. that would suck. i'm really sad all-county's over. i thought it was fun. o well...i can't wait to see everyone tomorrow lol.
