Yes, it's been quite a while since I've posted my happenings.
I KNOW you all missed me soooo much ;)
The sad thing is, not that much has happened.
Item #1
My brothers and sisters got together on Saturday the 11th to go out for my sister Olivia's birthday. We all had a great time at this place in Cleveland called the Fox and Hound. We played pool, ate, drank and were merry. Until I woke up the next day feeling like total, utter SHIT. I thought it was just some kind of virus. I had the symptoms, swollen glands, scratchy throat, fever, cough, but most of all I had the most incredible body pains. I can't even describe it, it was just horrible. Sunday I wasn't any better, on the contrary I was much worse. So Monday I went to my doctor and after a couple hours of running tests and a million questions he decides I have a bladder infection, kidney infection, dehydration and a fever. So, I got to have my first hospital stay...yay. Two days later they let me out, double yay.
Lucky me, kidney infections take weeks to months to get over. It's been 2.5 weeks and I still feel like shiat.
Item #2
I spent a few hours at my family Christmas get together. I'm glad we had the excuse that I was sick so we could only stay for a little while.
I'm surprised it went much better than I had hoped.
Don't get me wrong, I love my family. But having 6 Aunts and Uncles, plus their spouses, and a ton of cousins...you get asked the SAME questions all day. But I looked good and surprisingly felt pretty good, so I survived.
Item #3
Either I'm a dumbass, or there's a dumbass floating around out there.
I have a broken tail light cover. :( So, either I backed into something and didn't know it, or some asshole smashed it.
My poor, poor car. If I buy a new one from the dealership it'll be $90. Fuck that, I'm going to call junk yards tomorrow. I refuse to pay $90 for that shit.
For the time being I guess it's tape with red marker :):):)
Item #4
Christmas was great. We put up a lot of decorations this year. We put the icicle lights that you usually put on the outside of the house on the inside. Why spend a couple hours out in the freezing weather to put up lights you can't even enjoy ? We put plain white lights and colored lights all around the living room, with green garland along the top. White icicle lights and garland over the archway and a strand of single colored lights through the kitchen. It's so pretty. I like that you don't have to turn on a lamp, you have all-over soft lighting :)
I love Christmas 0=)
I have a decent sized family. There were 14 of us here when we had our Christmas the day after Christmas. It was great :)
I hope everyone reading this had an amazing Christmas :)
I'm kind of not ready for the new year. I was talking with Doris about this last night. Every year that I can remember I've cried on New Year's eve. Just thinking about the past year, all that happened, all that didn't happen, close calls and good times, great memories made, heartbreaks that happened...and it's hard to let go. Maybe I'm just an overly emotional person sometimes, but I have a hard time letting go of the past year. She said I should look at it like she does, that we've made it through this year, let's move on to the next one. My Mom views it the same way. Maybe it's a Mom thing.
I hope you have a fun and safe time rolling in the New Year.
I know I will because I'll be spending it with friends that I love.
Wendy :)
