The POS Truck

Okay so Yesterday I went with my grandmother back to Larry H. Miller, for 2 reason's....1. She needed to get the Oil changed on her Corsica, and 2 so she would speak with the Technician who gave me the Quote on fixing the truck.

So we go down and he explains to her that even if we didnt fix EVERYTHING right now, then most likely within the next month or 2 I would HAVE to fix the other problems, which may end up costing more money.
I have a Oil leak and a Fuel pump problem, somehow I was leaking oil into my gas lines.

So my grandmother asked for a Sales person to come down and look at the truck to see how much it would be worth. The man comes down looks at the inside and outside, starts it, shuts it off and says that without driving it, is worth on trade in about $1500-$2000. WOW.....the truck is worth less than what we need to replace.

The Sales man was also the Sales Floor Manager and when I explained to him the situation with the truck and how there was like $3500 dollars of fixin that needed to be done, he said with the truck being a '96, it only being worth $1500-$2000 and the fact that it had over 125,000 miles. It would be better to get a new vehicle....I of course was ecstatic, and grams wanted to see what was available, and if I could get financed. So the Sales Floor Manager says he will send his son Tysen down(nummy BTY!) and because grandma is kinda old and can't stand for to long(knee replacement) he got a car to drive us around the lot. I got in the back seat of a 2004 Hyundai Sonata....This was a nice car, and the first thing I say is "WOW I love this car!!!!!"

So he drives us around the lot, and I didnt really see anything I liked, besides a Chevy Avalanche, which grams immediately said no too, and than the car we were in. So he let me test drive it! I of course fell in love with this car!

So I got it! We took the $1500 trade in on the truck, $2,000 down payment. My Payments are $267.34 a month.

The car comes with a factory warranty of 3 years or 30,000 miles, the car had a little over 12,000 miles when I got it.

Then I decided to add in to my monthly payment a small fee (which is included in the $267.34) for a 5 year extended factory warranty, my fiance for the car is for 5 years.

I think I made out pretty well.

It is a very nice car and considering that I basically put into the down payment and trade in value what I would have put towards fixing the truck, I did Okay. Its 8 years newer, has less miles, just a better vehicle all around!

Next adventure for Grandma now is to get Melissa a new car, which according to gram's will most likely be in the next year or so.
