Lately I have had so many job interviews. I hate job interviews. I had another one today at the Centre for Disease Control. I think it went well but honestly, how can you know? Its not a permanent job but it does go until the end of the year, which would be nice.
The one I am in only goes until mid May. I like it here. The people are great, and they like me. Im working at the Health Professionals Licensing board, licensing doctors and nurses and chiropractors and psychiatrists etc. We work to 11 health professional boards so theres a lot of different types of them. Jill the Registrar doesnt want to lose me, so I think she should make me a permanent job here!
Anyway back to the latest interview. It is all about inputting immunisation information on the database. Its a project position, thats why it only goes until end of the year. Thats all the funding they have for it. High school students in the NT are now being immunised against cancer. Isnt that awesome! Anyway that is the data that the position will be inputting. I wouldnt mind winning it to be honest as I wouldnt have to worry about interviews unless I applied for something permanent that I really wanted, until close to the end of the year.
The Manager was lovely when he rang me, he even emailed me an arial photo of the area so I wouldnt get lost. Yeah sure! He said just park in the next car park down the road and walk back. Yeah well the car parks were all full for bloody miles! So I drove all the way around the hospital to the very last carpark where there were a few empty spaces. Then I hurried all the way back to the general area that I thought the building was in. Walking miles down the road I had just driven up. Ok kilometres, perhaps not miles, and I was late for my interview. Found the building I thought was right. There were no signs anywhere mind you. But when i got to the door no signs so I started back out and I must have looked lost and confused because a woman asked what I was looking for. When I told her she said that it was the right building and to follow her. Thank God! So i get there and the interview went well I think. I answered all their questions anyway, so I guess thats the main thing.
Let you know if I get the job. If I dont i might not mention it.
