Mellow update
So, wow. LJ has been pretty dead this summer. At least in my corner. I guess we all found better things to do with our time, which - great! But I miss my flisties and I guess the only way to get things going again is to start myself. Man in the mirror and all that.
So what's going on in my life? Well, not a helluva lot.
- I've finally perfected my low-fat muffin recipe.
- Sven has met the twins, and also my brother and his family, and it all went very well.
- I've been to what feels like a squillion parties with Sven's family, but in essence I think it was only three. It's just that nobody ever goes home so they go on forever.
- I've met some of Sven's friends on their annual canoe trip. Good fun, they thought I was very brave to come along. Some highlights.
- I'm job hunting and it sucks. On one hand, I'm starting to not like myself very much for just loafing around the house, on the other, the scary scary world of office jobs is looming over me and the sensation is... enough to not want to try very hard. I'm getting my ass in gear, though. A paycheck is imperative.
- And... school is starting. I should get on that too. Ugh.
Everything is still going so incredibly great with Sven and me. We laugh together, we have constructive talks, we appreciate each other, it just works and it's lovely. He is still everything I ever wanted and so much more.
His house is still on the market. We're hoping maybe there'll be some interest come next open house. Obviously, this is no reflection on the house itself. Come on, housing market! Get going!
