I have new hair! Yay! It's exactly what I wanted, only better. I've had long hair my whole life. Until this morning, it ended somewhere in the area of my shoulder blades, depending on how much it was curling upwards. Today, it ends at my shoulders. I haven't had my hair this short since I was 6 years old and about to start school. 20 cm. Snip-snip. It feels so light!
Also, can you believe this weather? It's April, and it's freakin' summer outside! In normal years, we'd have the random snow storm right about now. Weeeird, but I'm not complaining! This way I won't have to move to St. Croix. (Yeah, like that would be a hardship.)
Maria and I have worked out our differences and agreed that we need to learn to be better at fighting with each other. A lot of the mess was because it was our first fight and therefore we didn't know how to. We'll do better next time. Not that we're looking for that to be anytime soon. I'm glad I have my friend back. I really missed her.
I start working again on the 27th. My former boss from last winter when I was working at the local theater called and asked if I'd be interested in some shifts. I said hell yeah, if you pay me more this time. She said sure. Rock on.
I have a garden now. It's a little odd, but at the end of my building we have these 5 plots that gets passed down to the next on the list when someone moves out or whatever. It goes by seniority and after only 5 short years it was my turn. I've been a little ambivalent about it, because hello, I can't keep a potted plant alive, probably much less a whole garden. Never the less, I've decided to give it a go this year, and I can always just pass it on if I don't feel like keeping it. The major upside is that it'll be nice to have a place to hang out that isn't right in front of the entire building. Gratuitous nudity may occur.
I stayed after school on Friday and finished my part of a report that's due next week. Then I polished my halo. Heh, for serious, what I meant to say by that is that this weekend I actually feel like I have time off, because I don't have that hanging over me. There's plenty of school work I could be doing, but nothing I really urgently have to be doing. Feels good.
In that vein - I've been drunk for two days straight. I had beer for breakfast today. Man, it feels good to be this decadent.
