So... It looks like the LJ exodus is well underway. Which is sad. It's the end of an era! We can back up our own history, but we're saying goodbye to a lot of shared history, a lot of communities that might not survive the move. It's a melancholy feeling ( Read more... )

I'm really sad about the move from LJ as well. I still really prefer this place to DW. I'm not leaving though. I've seen the writing on the wall, so I now keep up with my DW fpage as well, but the only reason I'm posting there and not here is that you can crosspost from DW to LJ but not the other way around.

I've added you to my "circles" over there :)

D'oh! Things I shouldn't do from my tablet includes answering to comments on LJ. I should know this by now.

T'was me, saying I was glad to see you. Thank you. And I mean it. <3 :D

I figured ;-) I was glad to see you as well. I'd hate to lose touch (like you said yourself - FB just isn't the same).

I'm going to move to dreamwidth too, mostly because of LJ's new owners. They apparently are very conservative when it comes to LGTB rights, and that's just wrong.

I actually downloaded my entire LJ archive already two weeks ago, but never got around to delete it and make anew account at Dreamwidth.
Will do so soon though!

See you there!

Awesome! I'm so glad. :)

I am aware of why people are leaving, and I completely agree. I'd just read so many people's take on it that it felt like old news. :)

In any case, I'm not as sad to leave this place as I thought I might be. Nothing lasts forever. <3
