Sven has gone hunting today, which means I'm manning the phones. I really hope the opening call doesn't set a precedence for the rest of the day:
"Yes, I need to speak with Sven."
"He's unavailable today, can I take a message?"
"Yeah, no, then I need to speak to someone else about this specific thing."
"Ok, I suppose I can try giving you the number to.."
"No, you get the answer for me and call me back."
"Ohhh-kay. Sure, let me take your number."
"So when will you call me back?"
"When I have an answer for you."
"But when will that be? I need to know before noon."
"Duly noted. I will get back to you as soon as possible."
"But when is that?"
"As soon as I have an answer for you!"
For one, get the fuck off the line so I can call around. Point the second, I clearly don't have the answer right now. How am I supposed to know how long it's gonna take me to find out?
Stop being ridiculous, and also maybe plan ahead some, so that on the ONE DAY A YEAR Sven takes some time for himself, he can do so without your ridiculous emergencies. I need to know within two hours, on a project's that been ongoing for over a week... Please.
