I had a dream about Chris Evans this morning. It actually woke me up, which sucked enormously.
We were at some kind of party or other social setting, and the dream sort of started with me telling the room at large some story, talking a mile a minute and acting out the hilarious bits. And Chris Evans was sitting across the room.
When my story was over, he got up to leave, and in a burst of bravery I decided, "fuck it, it's now or never," so I ran to catch up with him, calling his name. He stopped a little ways from the house, and as I was jogging up to him, I was practicing in my head what to say. I had a whole plan, but as I caught up with him, he beat me to it, telling me he knew why i was there, and not to worry because we definitely had a connection. And I looked like a giant question mark at that, because really, I'd told a story I wasn't even certain he'd paid attention to, and then he got up and left.
So he started in on this really round-about explanation about the person you notice when you walk into a room. There were high school analogies, and room numbers posing as examples, and I felt my face expression change from misbelief to amusement to indulgence while he went on and on, his story finally coming to a conclusion with the words "anyway, I'm free for the next two weeks."
And the mix of his sheer adorableness and my relief that he wanted to get to know me prompted me to stretch up on my toes to kiss him right on the lips. And just millimeters from his face, he whispers, "you don't have to kiss me now."
I dropped back on my heels, kind of embarrassed, right as a person approached that needed to pass us. And I had to prompt Chris to move out of the way, so I felt a little better about the whole situation. I ran back to get my contact details, yelling "I feel like I just passed a casting call," as he continued down towards the beach, grinning and waving.
Of course, that's when I woke up, so we never did get to exchange our information. I would very much have liked to see what happened next. *sigh*
