So I said I would post, so here's a post...it's not very good, but w/e, post is a post is a post.
So what have I been up to since...um..Febuary? Here's the obligatory list, random order:
So that's mostly it, the rest of my time is filled up by work, general thumb twiddling, yelling at my car for getting stuck again, yelling at the sky for snowing again, and eating lots of popcorn.
Feeling a bit better about life in general, I'm really looking forward to real spring. Still having motivational issues with work, but I'm getting stuff done. I'm mildly dreading the next couple of weeks, mostly because my uncle is coming up from the States to get married and I'm getting kicked out of the apartment for two weeks. I've also signed up for four classes, Belly Dancing, Burlesque, Pole, and Hula Hooping. Have to say, I'm looking forward to hooping the most, only because I associated hooping with walking around barefoot on a very green grassy lawn.
Thats all for now, i may need to vent in the next couple of weeks, so I suppose you could stay tuned for that...

So what have I been up to since...um..Febuary? Here's the obligatory list, random order:
- Went snow shoeing twice, once with alyson_grease at French Creek, and once with Boy, where we went up (so much UP!) to Rawson Lake
- Saw The Watchmen and Slumdog Millionaire, I really enjoyed the former, mostly because I am a big fan of the graphic novel. I understand alot of people who have never read the novel didn't like it, but oh well, it's more reason for the m to pick up the book.
- I have two huge bruises on my legs from pole, specifically from going upside down. I still feel really ungraceful and walrus-esque while on the pole but it's getting better, it's just a matter of practice
- I attended a Pin up photoshoot class. Basically it was a one day workshop where, in the morning, they taught you how to do a pin up face and hair and then, in the afternoon, there was a photo shoot. It was alot of fun, kinda awkward, but good. I got the pictures back and I think some of them turned out really bad, mostly due to bad positioning, but I was really happy with most of them. They actually did the whole photographer-model dialog though, at one point in time I was asked to "dominate the cupcake", how does one dominate a cupcake, I don't know, but I was asked to pose that way...
- I went to a few open houses, mostly just kicking tires and seeing if I could actually survive in a place that's only 800sqft (I can, depending on the layout). I don't plan on buying anytime soon, but hopefully within a year or so
- Boy started school about a month ago, and while I thought it would free up some of his time, so he could clean, it turns out he just sits around and plays video games, mostly as stress relief. Granted school is really stressing him out, and it's really great to see him actually put some effort and care about school, he's studying alot, it's still mildly frustrating... He's also been sick, so I've cut him a bit of slack, but I feel like it's coming to a turning point, he needs to clean his place up.
- We started to do Jive in ballroom, and I keep having social dance flash backs since Jive was one of the only dances I remember enjoying. It has a sparked an interest in swing dancing, but from looking at some videos online, I rather find swing dancing intimidating
- I've had quite the case of wanderlust lately and I've since booked a cruise with Boy for September. In the mean time, I'm trying to figure out if I can afford and/or plan a trip out west. Originally we were going to go to Vancouver and sleep on psamathos floor, but he'll be back in Calgary by June, so no dice. So now I'm looking at a Vancouver Island road trip...
- Me booking the cruise has also sparked a mild obsession with the ship we'll be sailing on, currently it's the biggest ship in the world...
- I saw MSI at MacHall, they're last show at the Warehouse was better...
- I tried and failed at making Hello Kitty Cake Pops and I was super bummed. I ended up just making regular (mostly) spherical cake pops. But I figure I have something to aspire to, and then I saw these...fuck...gotta buy some sugar pearls...
- I'm trying to save some money by not going out so much, so I've become BFF with bittorrent again... I'm currently working through QI series 6, Skins Series 3 and Planet Earth...gah!
